I like me best when I'm leading projects, making plans, and solving problems

WORK

SLACK

CX AGENT

NOV '17 - TODAY

At Slack, I answer our customers' questions and respond to their concerns to ensure that none of our users fall through the cracks. In addition to this, I work hard to define internal processes that help my team work smarter.

I create the documentation my team uses on a daily basis. I've spearheaded a project to change the way we handle increased ticket volume during an incident. I work with our marketing team to ensure that brand updates and product changes are well communicated both internally, and to our growing customer base. All of this, while simultaneously being a culture cultivator and overall ambassador for Toronto, representing my office to our global team.

You'll find me here, doing the best work of my life.

SHOPIFY

GURU

MAR '17 - NOV '17

On a daily basis, I'd be at Shopify helping entrepreneurs develop their commerce objectives and scale their business. I developed a passion for supporting entrepreneurs while working with businesses from around the globe to help them determine their market fit and get matched up with the right Shopify Partners program for their needs. This is also where I got to flex my interest in social media and brand strategy.

POV 3RD STREET

FACILITATION TEAM

JAN '18 - AUG '18

Working as a team facilitator at POV 3rd Street - a charitable film and media organization by the folks at Radke, I was able to establish and develop my skills in problem solving, decision making, and communications in an industry I have a passion for.

As a former participant in this program, I felt a close connection to the work I was doing. Curriculum planning and 1:1 coaching allowed me to teach others what I know about content strategy and brand development. I advised others on the various styles of visual content that would best serve them in a tough industry. Offering support to my peers as they developed soft skills was fulfilling, as it allowed me to build my own identity as a creative who is focused not just on my craft, but on uplifting those around me.

BizStarT

ENTREPRENUERSHIP INCUBATOR

AUG ' 16 - FEB '17

Working at this program launched me towards a path of entrepreneurship and collaboration. BizStart is an entrepreneurship incubation program aimed to help young entrepreneurs build their skills, provide support, mentorships and strengthen the backend of their business. This program helped me develop the soft skills needed to  pursue my interests in growing a business. I have a toolkit for the financial overview, business plan and marketing plan needed to get business ideas off the ground .

Through BizStart, I was able to combine my passions for culinary arts and entrepreneurship and launch Culinarian +co., a start-up endeavour aimed at teaching simple culinary skills in a way that is accessible to everyone. Focused primarily on teaching those with cognitive disabilities, my mobile culinary school brought classes that were nurturing, easy to follow and consistent to people's homes in order to teach them buildable lessons that would empower them to embrace cooking. Through this effort, I learned how to network, build a client base, and what it really means to grind it out.

10/10, would recommend.
